This Sunday begins God’s First Family with Abram and Sarai hearing God’s call to leave what is familiar and step into an unknown future. The heart of the message is that God’s blessing is never meant to stop with the ones who receive it; Abram is blessed “to be a blessing,” and that becomes not only his task but his identity.
