Hope Changes Lives

In 2020, Miroslav Wolf wrote, “Fear, more than hope, is a characteristic of our time. He was right then. His words still feel right today. There’s anxiety about where things are headed, a steady drumbeat of bad news, and a growing sense that things are more divided than they used to be. Over time, that can turn into something deeper—a kind of cynicism that settles in and asks, “What difference does hope really make?”

And yet, we are a people who have named ourselves Hope. And we’ve named something important about who we believe we are: Hope Changes Lives. But that only matters if it’s more than a phrase. This series is about discovering the real meaning of that statement. Together, we will explore what Christian hope actually is, where it comes from, and how it takes shape in everyday life. Along the way, we will ask what it would look like for us to become a community where hope is not just something we talk about, but something people experience—through the way we trust, live, and show up for one another. The goal is a shared vision of who we are becoming: a people whose lives make hope visible in the world around us.
